Setting More Realistic Goals

I might have gotten a bit overzealous when I set goals in the summer for the school year. So I'm going to reassess and see what I can do. Having a one year old and expecting myself to have all this time to do things is not realistic. I've got a little over an hour a day to work on my goals. I'm going to focus on what I've done successfully.

• Creating at least one Teacherspayteachers material a month

• Sharing those materials on Pinterest, TikTok, and Instagram

• Illustrating my children's book little by little

• Writing a Self Help book for Nuerodivergent individuals

• Being flexible in Co-Teaching

• Creating Culturally Responsive and Inclusive resources on Canva

Please take a moment to engage in reflective practice and revisit the goals you set at the onset of the academic year. Embrace the principles of self-compassion, patience, and resilience as you navigate this journey. It's essential to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments you've made while also recognizing areas where growth is still needed. Remember, progress, not perfection, is the ultimate goal.

Although it may seem daunting, reaching out to colleagues for guidance and collaboration can foster a sense of belonging and shared purpose.

Additionally, demonstrating kindness and appreciation towards support staff, such as secretaries and custodians, can further strengthen relationships and contribute to a positive school environment.
